Zig Ziglar reminds us of \u201cThe Power of Words.\u201d He is right \u2013 word power can be awesome.<\/p>\n
Think about the impact of the words in this scenario: A young woman earning minimum wage at a fast food restaurant says, \u201cI can do better than this\u201d<\/em><\/strong> and she decides to look for an opportunity.<\/p>\n That night, a friend says, “Come with me.\u201d<\/em><\/strong> She decides to go and as the meeting starts, she wonders \u201cWhy am I here?\u201d<\/em><\/strong> She decides to stay and with the benefit of more information, an idea forms, and she says, \u201cThis can work!…I can do this.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Inspired, she launches into motion and in ten days, her friend calls to say \u201cCongratulations! You are a 1k!\u201d \u201cWhat is a 1k?\u201d she asks.<\/em><\/strong> A dream takes shape.<\/p>\n Later, that same friend calls again: \u201cYou are a 5k \u2013 Keep it up.\u201d<\/em><\/strong> The young woman rushes to her computer to learn her financial foundation is more solid and her minimum wage job is looking less permanent. She is now more hopeful \u2013 for the first time.<\/p>\n Still later, inspired by her success and a few more dollars in her bank account, she decides to attend her first Network Marketing convention. \u201cI can afford it\u201d<\/em><\/strong> she tells herself. Several days later while reflecting on her recent experience in Salt Lake City, she says, \u201cI will hear my name mentioned from the stage one day.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n She challenged a few more of her friends to get involved and, motivated by her success, they joined her. One day a few months later, a package arrived. \u201cI don’t get packages\u201d<\/em><\/strong> she thought. \u201cI get bills!\u201d<\/em> <\/strong>Inside the padded envelope was her 20k pin and a vision became clear. Once again, she was at her computer and when she saw the average income of a 20k, she blurted out, \u201cI can have a life!\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n The next day, she told her supervisor\u00a0“Friday is my last day!”<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Powered by an intensity never before felt, her mother began to tell her friends, \u201cMy daughter is on a mission!…I have never seen her more alive.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Several months later, the young woman is planning for her second convention. On a Friday afternoon, tears streaming down her face, her heart beating almost out of control, she launches herself toward the stage in front of a wildly enthusiastic crowd because new \u201cLeaders\u201d<\/em><\/strong> were being recognized and she heard her name.<\/p>\n It all started with a desire for change and a willingness to obey the words, \u201cCome with me.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Kathryn Hepburn said \u201cLife is to be lived. If you have to support yourself, you had bloody well better find some way that is going to be interesting.
